Thanks to support from charity givers, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has launched a project for the construction of an education and culture center in Kayseri from which particularly the youth will benefit. The center, which will have a gym, a library and study rooms, will also make contribution to the socialization of the youth.
The to-be-constructed education and culture center will be named after Furkan Doğan who was martyred in the Israeli assault on the Mavi Marmara. The center will have study rooms from which 174 students will benefit from in addition to a 54-person-capacity computer room and a seminar room. The building will have a basement floor, entrance floor and a 1st floor.
In the basement floor of the building, there will be a gym, showers, masjid, heating and cooling system, an art studio, library, janitor room, a bakery and a storage room. In the entrance, there will be administration rooms (rooms of the manager, deputy manager and teachers in addition to information desk and security room), seminar room, Internet room, cafeteria and tea shop while there will be seven study rooms, a conversation room, a teachers’ room, two offices and WCs in the first floor.
The education and culture center will aim to help the youth to develop their socialization and prepare themselves to participation in social life.
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS AND DURATION
The project is expected to be finalized within a year after the collection of the necessary funds. The project will be prepared and carried out by the IHH.
THE COST OF THE PROJECT
The cost of the education and culture center which will be built on a land of 3.450 square-meters is 750.000 euros while the cost of the furnishing materials to be used in the building is 200.000 euros. Except for the land value, the total cost of the education and culture center is 950.000 euros.
